Our Story

I made the product I couldn't find.

Over five years ago, I had a melanoma scare on my scalp. The doctor's orders was simple: protect your scalp like the rest of your skin, wear SPF. 

Easier said than done. Every product I tried was greasy, wet, or made for somewhere else. Sun cream flattened my hair. Sprays left my roots looking unwashed. So, like most people, I stopped bothering.

The more I talked about it, the more I heard the same thing. Friends with burnt partings after a holiday. Women whose hair was thinning through menopause, suddenly aware how exposed their scalp was. Men who'd given up and reached for a cap. Flaky scalps after a festival.

So I built the solution myself. I worked with sun-care scientists in Australia, and tested it to international SPF standards. The result: The Daily Sunshine, a dry shampoo that refreshes your hair and protects your scalp in one step.
